Question: What do you think causes mental illness?

The exact cause of most mental health conditions is not known, but it is becoming clear through lots of research that many of these conditions are caused by a combination of genetic, biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors, and not any personal weakness in the person themselves. So we’re still not sure, but it can take a lot of different things to trigger poor mental health.
