• Question: I am research weight prejudices and stereotypes and if they differ between genders. Do you know what application my research could have? what benefit this could have to society?

      Sounds very worthwhile! Stereotype research is always useful – it shows how judgmental we are. Knowing this is a good start to help people work towards not doing this. I think too many people make false assumptions about people who are overweight.

      Most research that raises and tries to answer questions, however big or small, is worthwhile.

      There are most likely a lot of different applications of such research. One may be to do with fitness and whether this impacts people’s decisions to take up a sport (e.g. running or gym). Another might be relationships. These are just a couple of examples.
