Historically, they used a number of gory ways which I won’t go into here. Today, as you’ll have seen from your other questions that I’ve answered, witchcraft is a very loose, and fluid term, and really depends on the person and their beliefs. For some people, what they do (i.e. using herbal medicine, drawing protection circles), may not seem like ‘witchcraft’, so they don’t call it that (especially in groups that frown on that sort of thing), so they call it something else. For others, they’re more than happy to use that term. So, you can’t really ‘prove’ it. I tend to use whatever term the person if happy using, but the word ‘witchcraft’ is a good catchall word for it.
