Preventing people from becoming ill in the first place (as far as possible) – it’s much better than having to look for a cure.

Mental health means to me, to be secure, and relatively happy, to be able to live a happy live with plenty of opportunities to do what you want to do.

Mental health to me is your ability to navigate through your world and deal with the problems which arise out of doing just that. It is also acknowledging your strengths and weaknesses and understanding how best you can utilise them and compensate for them too. To echo Jermaine, these are things which ideally mental health researchers and clinicians should help us achieve before mental ill health becomes debilitating.

A great question. It will mean different things to different people. I guess it is not any one thing, but a combination. For sure, to not limit the possibilities in your life due to worry, stress, anxiety, etc. To be able to enjoy life to the fullest.

Mental health is something that we all experience changes in. One can be in good mental health, or poor mental health, and mental health can change from day to day, or from year to year. Mental health is closely related to physical health, and people should take care of both their physical and mental health with equal thought and attention.
