• Question: In your research of Cancer so far, is there anything that has been found which has stood out to be quite significant or could possibly impact further research in the future?

There’s a gap to collect data from cancer patients in an ongoing way – not just in the hospital. If we can collect data on how tired or sick people feel regularly, say every few days via mobile phone apps, then this information can be picked up quickly and result in patients getting better treatment as the clinicians will have a fuller picture of their health. It might even save money, by minimising hospital visits that are not needed.

Think of how people track their sleep, how many steps they have walked in a day, etc. This sort of thing could be fed into the NHS.
