      You could argue we are already there. Computers are replacing a lot of manual jobs that enabled people without much of an education the chance to work. This trend will continue forever. It’s one of the reasons people need to get an education so they stand a chance of getting a job.

      I think it’s probably happened in a number of cases, For example, between the 1930s and 1970s the US government purposely didn’t treat hundreds of poor black men who had syphillis just to see what would happen – to me that’s hindered the development of society already!
