I am interested in e-cigs, and we will be offering people e-cigs to help them quit smoking tobacco in my research. The current evidence shows that e-cigarettes are much less harmful than tobacco, but until we have a long-term study we won’t know for sure. I do not recommend using e-cigs if you’re a non-smoker, and I would only recommend e-cigs if you’ve not been able to quit smoking with the help of your GP.
