I had a few months after my Master’s when I couldn’t find a job where I thought ‘what’s the point’ – but then I got a funded PhD and it’s been all good since then.

A psych degree would give you an excellent grounding for most careers (and it’s interesting), so not really much to regret…

There are times when I think about whether I should have gone for something with a more stable and established career path (e.g. medicine) but I can’t think of any specific regrets beyond that. I love the subject I’m in, although ask me when I have to find a job after my PhD… I may have a different answer then!

I paid for my own Masters to do Psychology when I had a fully-funded Masters to be a Librarian on the table. I knew what I wanted to do. No regrets.

Even though I didn’t think I’d carry on to this stage, or that I’d even do psychology, no, I have no regrets.
